SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) -- You'll find a variety of books scattered through my various gift guides including a wide selection of Star Wars-related titles to tie in with the release of "The Rise of Skywalker" and the gorgeous "Marvel: The Golden Age 1939-1949" in the Marvel section. However, as someone who enjoys turning the pages of a book with a classic narrative, I had to give book lovers a little room of their own.

  • If you're a book junkie, there's a good chance that you've discovered The Folio Society, a British based publisher that prints beautiful illustrated editions of classic fiction and non-fiction releases (their "A Game of Thrones" is nothing short of stunning). New for winter is Roger Lancelyn Green's collection of magical Egyptian tales retold in a children-friendly collection "Tales of Ancient Egypt"
  • Charles Portis's classic adventure about a fourteen-year-old-girl who hires a bounty hunter to avenge her father's murder in "True Grit."
  • Gaston Leroux's "The Phantom of the Opera" with an introduction from the National Theatre's Simon Callow.
