PITTSBURGH -- A new era is underway for the United States men's soccer team and it continues with an international friendly match this Saturday against Costa Rica on FOX 53.

New head coach Gregg Berhalter debuted with a 3-0 win Sunday over Panama in Glendale, Ariz., an encouraging start with many new players in the lineup, while missing international-based players like Pennsylvania native and superstar Christian Pulisic who is competing overseas.

Seven players made their team debuts in the match.

Now the USMNT sets its sights on another step forward, facing Costa Rica in San Jose, Calif.

Costa Rica has been a World Cup regular dating back several decades, including an appearance in last summer's World Cup in Russia.

Then there's this Feb. 2 Groundhog Day anecdote pointed out on the UMNT's website: Saturday's match will be the third time the USA will face Costa Rica on Feb. 2.

Fox's soccer coverage kicks off Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on FOX 53.
