PITTSBURGH -- The holiday season brings to mind those perfectly wrapped presents underneath a perfectly decorated tree, while a perfect family celebrates the joys of the season together?

Not exactly.

Truth be told, what's a holiday without some serious family dysfunction?

Enter FOX's new holiday miniseries, "The Moodys," premiering Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. on Pittsburgh's FOX 53.

The Moodys follows a tight-knit, but slightly dysfunctional family of five, all of whom gather in their hometown of Chicago for the perfect holiday. From break-ups to arrests to sharing one bathroom, each family member is packing their own eccentricities and hiding secrets from the others – as if the holidays were all about carols and eggnog.

The show casts Denis Leary as Sean Moody Sr., Elizabeth Perkins as Ann Moody, Jay Baruchel as Sean Moody Jr., Chelsea Frei as Bridget Moody and Francois Arnaud as Dan Moody.

Perkins - a two-time Golden Globe nominee and three-time Emmy nominee for Best Supporting Actress - recently joined the FOX 53 INSIDER to talk about the real-life holiday chaos the show portrays.
