PITTSBURGH -- The whole season comes down to Saturday on Pittsburgh's FOX 53.
No. 8 Penn State and No. 2 Ohio State have been on a collision course since the season began and the ultimate Big Ten showdown has finally arrived, with FOX Sports announcing an all-out production blitz for Saturday's coverage of the Nittany Lions and Buckeyes squaring off in Columbus.
Saturday's live coverage on Pittsburgh's FOX 53 starts with a special two-hour edition of the "Big Noon Kickoff" pregame show beginning at 10 a.m., with kickoff following at noon.
FOX Sports host Rob Stone and analysts Brady Quinn, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer will start their live pregame coverage from outside the southeast entrance of Ohio Stadium. Then at 11 a.m., the cast moves inside the Horseshoe behind the end zone for more analysis.
FOX College Football's lead broadcast team of Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft have the call of the game at noon.
Despite a road loss at previously unbeaten Minnesota two weeks ago, Penn State still controls its own destiny in the Big Ten East Division title race. Now 9-1 and ranked eighth in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, a win over the rival Buckeyes would secure a spot in next month's Big Ten Championship game, pushing the program ever closer to its first-ever playoff birth.
Despite navigating a stretch of facing four Associated Press Top 25-ranked teams in their last five games, James Franklin's Nittany Lions are heavy underdogs entering Saturday's matchup, with the latest point spread listed in the neighborhood of +19.
Meanwhile, unbeaten No. 2 Ohio State has dispatched every contender its seen this season with the ease of a program on the brink of competing for a national championship, piling up a 10-0 record.
This is the 10th time in the 35-game series that the Penn State versus Ohio State matchup features two top -10 ranked teams.
