PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Redbud Project is an initiative of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, funded by Colcom Foundation and launched in 2016.

The Redbud Project plants thousands of flowering Eastern redbuds and complimentary native trees on trails, hillsides and open spaces in view of the city's riverfronts in downtown Pittsburgh.

Jeff Bergman, Director of Community Forestry and Thomas Saunders, President and CEO of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy recently appeared on "Marketplace Pittsburgh" to discuss the Redbud Project.
