WASHINGTON (SBG) - Dr. Peter Salk, infectious disease doctor and son of polio vaccine creator Dr. Jonas Salk, says normal life post-COVID is still a ways away.

“I think it's going to be a while,” said Dr. Salk to The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat. “Until this virus is gone, globally, we're not going to be able to relax and let our guard down.”

Dr. Salk’s advice until then: Continue wearing masks and be careful about people you come into contact with.

“I don't like wearing a mask myself,” said Dr. Fauci. “But I think that we really need to continue this until a point when it's clear that we can begin to let down our guard and relax.”
