PITTSBURGH -- Two local organizations are working at the heart of the Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh initiative.

The city has fostered a program to support multicultural artists for several decades, and The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments are working to expand the reach of the program, which includes grant-making to support professional artists and a commitment to promoting a vibrant culture in Pittsburgh and throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Celeste Smith, Program Officer for Arts and Culture at The Pittsburgh Foundation, and Shaunda McDill, Program Officer for Arts and Culture at The Heinz Endowments, recently joined Jordan Conigliaro on "Issues on the Point."
