PITTSBURGH -- Historically, investment clubs were an opportunity for groups of investors to limit stock market transaction costs.
With brokerage costs much lower today, investment clubs still serve an important purpose in communities.
Better Investing Pittsburgh Chapter offers local investment clubs and stock market education for both new and longtime investors.
Serving southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia, the organization is made up of local volunteers dedicated to educating members, using the model the national Better Investing organization has established.
Chairman and President Pat Donnelly recently appeared on "Issues on the Point" providing information on how to join the organization, what to expect at their monthly meetings and how a model investment club works.
