PITTSBURGH -- The "#DaretobeKind" movement started nearly a decade ago, founded by national kindness author and speaker Gabriella Van Rij.
This past January Van Rij was a featured speaker at Robert Morris University, sharing her message that "kindness is the most underutilized skill in today's world."
Van Rij recently joined Jordan Conigliaro on "Issues on the Point" to discuss the movement, her recommendations for effective communication in the workplace and her personal experiences, which includes being adopted from an orphanage in Pakistan in one of the first cross-cultural adoptions of the 1960s.
