PITTSBURGH -- Lou Diamond Phillips is working overtime on the midseason finale of "Prodigal Son" on Pittsburgh's FOX 53.

Normally on camera as "Gil Arroyo", Phillips is behind the camera this time, directing Tuesday's "Face Value" episode.

The director's chair is nothing new to the longtime actor, as Phillips has helmed episodes of hit series “Fear the Walking Dead,” “Longmire” and “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
