ISSUES: New domestic violence detection app unveiled

The Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh recently celebrated 'Connection of Hope Day' in Pittsburgh, unveiling a new version of a domestic violence intervention mobile app called RUSafe. Interim CEO and Chief Program Officer Nicole Molinaro Karaczun and Aspirant President Mike McClaine recently appeared on "Issues On The Point" to discuss the unveiling of the new app. Watch "Issues On The Point" Sundays at 6:30 a.m. on 22 The Point.

PITTSBURGH -- The Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh recently celebrated 'Connection of Hope Day' in Pittsburgh, unveiling a new version of a domestic violence intervention mobile app called RUSafe.

The center and shelter teamed up with Aspirant, a Pittsburgh-based global management consulting firm which designed the app in Pittsburgh.

The latest version of RUSafe is available for free download and offers a dangerous relationship assessment feature, a connection to 911 and other domestic violence hotlines as well as safety training features and a journal.
