PITTSBURGH — On this week's episode of Issues on the Point, Darren Zaslau sits down with Urban Impact Foundation founder Pastor Ed Glover and rising Point Park freshman Gavi Haley, who has participated in the organization since she was five years old.

August is national wellness month and Urban Impact provides exactly that to students on Pittsburgh's north side. The foundation offers academic, athletic and performing arts programs as well as community outreach to elementary through high school students. UIF also helps its participants grow through religious and spiritual education.

Glover speaks about how he founded Urban Impact in 1995, the wide variety of programs it provides and how students can get involved this fall. Haley described her experience as a longtime member of UIF and how theatre arts helped her pursue a college education at Point Park.
